The Roots Picnic - 6/6/09 - Philly, PA

This weekend, I hopped a flight to Dulles International to catch up with my cousin, RMD. Sat we drove from VA to PA (approx. 2.5 hours) to see The Legendary Roots Crew perform at the 2nd Annual Roots Picnic. After a short encounter with a scalper (I procrastinated on getting my ticket), we were in the gates of the Festival Pier at Penns Landing.

The show was packed! People EVERYWHERE, and we saw it all! This one guy had one too many drinks and had to be carried out, Amanda Diva hopped on stage during "You Got Me" and they could not get her off the mic! Saw DJ Lord and DJ Wreckineyez perform. The highlight of the show was Public Enemy performing with the Roots. Hip Hop history was witnessed last night! Peep the pics/video below...
