Braves vs. Mets!

Last night, Nico and I went to Turner Field to check out the Braves vs. Mets. It was hat night! My nose is still bloody from the seats LOL! But a free ticket is a free ticket and Nico was all smiles, so all is well. While I was on my way to pick up the tickets last week, I ran into a Big Sis (Davina). Her and her Lil Bro (Robert) sat by us at the game. Ahhh, fun times...

"I Know I Can" - Official Premiere - Detroit, MI

Just got back from Detroit, MI attending the Official Premiere of "I Know I Can" - From Tragedy to Triumph. I must say, it was one of the most awesome experiences I have had in a long time. The film was well-received, and we had a representative from the American Stroke Society there with a table of information for the attendees to leave with.

Through the process of editing this documentary, along with the filmmaker, Honwan Byrd, I have been educated about Strokes. I was under the impression that a Stroke was something that only happened to older people. But that is so untrue! The subject of the film (Damont Goolsby) suffered his stroke at the age of 23. He has now rebounded 150%!!! He is currently helping a 16 year old stroke victim through his road to recovery.

There is so much more to type, but I am out of time, just check out the photos below:
